The **2025 Assistive Technology Innovation Design Competition** is here, inviting you to wield the pen of technology and write a new chapter in an accessible future.

I. Competition Overview

As a key national hub for technology-assisted disability inclusion, Shenzhen is proud to host the 2025 Assistive Technology Innovation Design Competition under the theme "Technology for Inclusion, Innovation for Empowerment." Organized by the Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and multiple government agencies, the competition features two tracks: "Innovative Products" and "Innovative Designs." The goal is to discover groundbreaking assistive technology projects, nurture talent, support innovative enterprises, and advance the assistive technology industry.

II. Submission Requirements

1. Originality: Entries must be original or innovative improvements on existing assistive devices.

2.Theme Alignment: Submissions should align with the competition’s theme—"Technology for Inclusion, Innovation for Empowerment"—and cover assistive technologies enhancing quality of life for individuals with mobility, visual, hearing, or other disabilities.

3. Product Category (Physical Prototypes): Must include a working prototype, design rationale, production documentation (text, images, or video), and a demonstration video (showing real-world use).

4. Design Category (Conceptual): Submissions must present a complete, feasible, and market-ready design, detailing intent, principles, structure, materials, and functionality (sketches, 3D models, or written proposals accepted).

III. Awards & Incentives

The grand prize is RMB 300,000 (37,500€)！！！

This competition combines honorary recognition with tangible rewards, awarding:

First Prize (300k RMB)，Second Prize (60K RMB)，Third Prize (20K RMB)，Excellence Awards (multiple winners)

All winning entries will receive official certificates and trophies. Additionally:

- Financial grants will be allocated to outstanding projects in both Innovative Product* and Innovative Design categories, based on merit.

IV. Submission Requirements

Innovative Product Category: Functional prototypes (commercialized but not yet mass-produced).

Innovative Design Category: Original, executable concepts (no physical prototype required).

You are requested to submit your entry prior to Sep. 26th 2025

VI. Eligibility

Open to individuals, teams, universities, research institutes, enterprises, and designers worldwide, with a focus on the Greater Bay Area. Each participant/team may submit up to two entries.
